    COMPOSITION
     Each coated tablet contains:
    Oxytetracycline HCl B.P.Vet 250 mg

    DESCRIPTION
    ALTRAMYCIN has a bacteriostatic action on susceptible bacteria.It binds irreversibly to 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome.This binding effectively prevents the addition of amino acids to the clongating peptide chain, inhibiting protein synthesis. By this activity it prevents multiplication and enables the body defence system to attack and eliminate infective microbes.
