Alquin
is highly effective against Trypanasoma spp. The species
affected are T.equinum, T.equiperdum, T.congolense, T.evansi,
T.vivax, T.brucei, T.simiae, which affect all domestic animals
like cattle, horses, donkeys, camels, elephants and dogs. Alquin 1.5 is used both for treatment and prophylaxis against Trypanosomiasis.It is recommended for eradicating mechanically transmitted Trypanosomiasis, prophylactic protection of animals exposed to infection and also for protection in endemic areas visited by grazing animals. ADMINISTRATION & DOSAGE Reconstitution: Add 15 ml water for injection into the vial and shake well Dosage: 1 ml / 40 Kg body weight by sub-cutaneous route. WITHDRWAL PERIOD Slaughter : 21 days Milk : 21 days SIDE-EFFECTS Alquin 1.5 is free from serious side-effects. However, occasional symptoms like salivation or trembling, which are transitory in nature, are noticed.
