DESCRIPTION:
Antibiotics as growth promoters are a long established
products that form part of poultry production process in all developing countries.
Continued use of some of the latest antibiotics like A-lincomycin helps promote
bird welfare and decrease cost of production.
A-lincomycin at
sub-therapeutic levels is widely accepted as a means to suppress undesirable
microbes and promote establishment and propagation of the desirable ones like
Lactobacillus acidophilus and thereby improves gut flora multiplication. It
has shown to improve feed efficiency, increase in weight gain in broilers
and ensures higher market weights at an earlier age. Thus there are higher
returns on investment to poultry farmers.
INDICATIONS
Alincomycin as a feed additive is mixed with the feed in
order to ensure better feed conversion, increase resistance, enhance production
and prevent loss to the poultry farmer.
