OF ACTION Rafoxamide disconnects mitochondrial reactions involved in electron-transport associated events from ATP generation (uncoupling of oxidative phosphorylation). This uncoupling action is lethal to liver flukes and blood-sucking helminths like Haemonchus. Levamisole, being a cholinergie agonist, brings about an irreversible paralyzing effect on the nematodes with the result the worms get disintegrated and lysed by the gut enzymatic action. Levamisole is also a potent immunomodulator, it increases bodyu resistace against several microbial and viral infections. INDICATIONS |

Plus which contains Rafoxanide(potent flukicide) and levamisole (a
powerful anthelmintic) is specially indicated in the treatment and
control of mixed worm infestations of Liver flukes, Roundworms, pinworms,
and Lung worms in cattle and sheep.It is effective against mature
and immature stages of lung worms(Dictyocalus spp) and liver
flukes(Fasciola hepatica & Fasciola gigantica) It
is highly effective (98%) against all parasitic larval stages of sheep
and nasal bot. ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE For oral use as a drench. Cattle, sheep & goat : 0.5 ml/1 kg Body Weight. Further dosing may be necessary at four and six week's intervals if fluke infestation is high. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD Slaughter : 28 days PACKING 1 litre can. |
